How it all started
Early 2019 - June 2020
It began in a hallway holding no more than 12 people.
The idea was to reach the 2nd and 3rd generation of English-speaking Hispanic people in our city.
We began holding weekly Bible studies in early 2019 at the space graciously provided to us by our sending church, Iglesia Bautista West Brownsville. Comprised of mostly high school students, LOGOS began to hold monthly Preview Services in June 2020.

The COVID-19 Pandemic
June 2020 - May 2022
While the world was in lockdown, we began to hold a weekly English-only Sunday Service in June 2020. GOD graciously provided us a meeting space that could hold more people, but the Pandemic led us to having only 6 in attendance as our Core Team.
In May 2022, we began Spanish services to reach more people in our city. This helped us see steady growth as people returned to their normal lives after the Pandemic.

The Highland Blessing
2023
GOD moved powerfully in the life of our church.
A very faithful church in Texas celebrated their 100 year anniversary. They prayed about blessing small new churches with a financial blessing.
In His providence, GOD led this church to selecting LOGOS as one of the recipients of their generosity. This allowed LOGOS to have a full-time pastor for the first time since its founding. This also allowed LOGOS to incorporate in the state of Texas, invest in overseas missions in Spain, University campus missions, and missions in South and Central America. We believe no church is too small to make an impact.

2024 and Beyond
We aim to be a church that faithfully preaches the Gospel, promotes expository preaching through the Bible, equips Christians for the Mission, and helps plant churches in South Texas, the US, and around the world.
